THE STORY OF MARRASKIRJAT

Marraskirjat is a modern Finnish publishing house, whose field of specialization includes various religious traditions, worldviews, folklore and the voices of people from the past. Our current publication list includes northern ethnography, Finnish folk religion, research of Sámi mythology and a variety of reconstructed folktales. All of our authors are specialists in their own fields.

We specialize primarily in e-books, as we want to meet the needs of today with the means made possible by modern technology. Our vision is that the products in demand will reach the consumer easily and quickly at a reasonable price. Of course, traditional print versions are also part of our selection. They have been implemented in co-operation with Amazon.

Marraskirjat is a politically neutral publisher. We are not guided by cumbersome bureaucracies, strong ideologies, or science-political cliques.

We work in collaboration with Amazon, Myyttiset Luennot and our graphic designer Warelius Art.
